The standard time each student should apply towards homework according to district policy are as follows:

 

Kindergarten: 10-15 Minutes
First & Second Grade: 10-20 Minutes
Third & Fourth Grade: 30-40 Minutes
Fifth Grade: 50-60 Minutes

If your child is in 5th grade and diligently working for one hour and cannot finish his/her homework, please conference with the teacher. This applies to all grade levels and their corresponding number of minutes.
